పరీక్షల్లో అద్భుతమైన ప్రతిభ చూపినా, ఆయనకు MBBS డిగ్రీకి బదులుగా తక్కువ స్థాయిదైన LMS (లైసెన్షియేట్ ఇన్ మెడిసిన్ అండ్ సర్జరీ) సర్టిఫికెట్ మాత్రమే ఇచ్చారు.

ఆ తర్వాత, మద్రాస్‌లోని డాక్టర్ ఆచంట లక్ష్మీపతి ఆయుర్వేదిక్ మెడికల్ కాలేజీలో అనాటమీ ప్రొఫెసర్‌గా చేరారు.
